Editorial: “Washington could learn from us”

Barb Kalbach, a longtime rural Iowan, published a local editorial about the hope she draws from rural champions coming together to envision a positive future. She is a fourth-generation family farmer and a board member of the Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement. In her latest editorial, she highlights how our Rural Policy Action Report supports key rural priorities in agriculture, education, and public health.

Kalbach’s editorial appeared in a dozen Iowa newspapers. She also publishes a regular “Brass Tax” column about how how government could support rural people’s everyday challenges.
